PocketBook International S.A. is a manufacturer of multifunctional electronic reading devices based on E-inc technology. The company was founded in 2007 in Kiev, since 2011 it has been a Swiss company with headquarters in Lugano (Switzerland). The company's products are presented in 35 countries of the world - in Western, Central and Eastern Europe, the CIS countries and the Baltic States, as well as in Israel, Australia, New Zealand and other countries of the world. In Russia, the share of PocketBook in the reader market reaches 70%. All PocketBook readers use firmware based on the Linux operating system. Most readers from other manufacturers use firmware based on the Android operating system, which has a higher power consumption, so Android readers work offline 20-30% less. PocketBook readers support 20 e-book and document formats, including comic book formats. This is the maximum in the reader market. To date, PocketBook is considered one of the strongest leaders in the reader market, is the winner of 11 international exhibitions and competitions. By 2020, over 5 million books have been sold.
